ZAMAK 3(ZNAL4,ZPO400)

Zamak 3 is usually the first choice when considering a zinc die casting .  It has an excellent combination of physcial and mechanical properties, superb castability and long-term dimensional stability.  Nearly 70% of all zinc die castings are made from Zamak 3 .  It is therefore the most widely available alloy from die casting sources.  Zamak 3 also offers excellent finishing characteristics for plating, painting and chromate treatments.It is the "Standard" by which other zinc alloys are rated in terms of die casting.

The appropriate industry:

Environmentally friendly die-cast zinc alloy -3# is suitable for Automobiles, Motorcycles, Electronic communications, Instruments and other Mechanical parts, as well as Toys, Ornaments, Tableware, Locks and other Hardware devices.

Performance feature:

  • This product meets the standards of China, the United States and the European Union;Comply with ROHS, EN71Part3, EN1811, CPSIA and other requirements;
  • Low remelting temperature, less slag content, and fine internal crystallization;
  • Good physical and mechanical properties, castability, dimensional stability and creep resistance.

Method of application

  • Bake and dry before use. Do not stir or dredge when feeding.The scum above the molten liquid is stirred calmly with a slag rake to collect it and remove it;
  • The nozzle material according to the ratio of 25%-30% input, no need to slag;
  • The best die casting temperature: 420℃-435℃, the best mold temperature: 210℃-230℃.The upper limit of die-casting temperature is recommended for thin-walled parts and complex parts, and the lower limit is recommended for thick-walled parts and simple parts.
  • The following phenomena may exist in the use process: there is a thin oil film on the surface of the alloy liquid, and there will be a small amount of black film, which is a normal phenomenon.

Packing storage

This product is a block of silver-white metal, stacked neatly, 112 pieces per bundle , bundled with PET strap, and packaged with PVC bag.

After unpacking is not used up, it is best to re-seal, dust and reduce oxidation.

Store in ventilated, dry, non-corrosive substances place, pay attention to moisture.
