ZA-12(ZNAL11CU1,ZP1110)

Although more commonly recognized as a gravity casting alloy, ZA-12 can also be die cast when higher strength is required.  It has the best combination of strength and castability of all the ZA alloys.  The cold chamber die casting process is required for this alloy due to the higher attack rate on the shot end components.

The appropriate industry:

 Environmentally friendly die-cast zinc alloy -ZA-12# is widely used in many fields, including but not limited to:

  • Automotive manufacturing: used to manufacture the shell, valve rod and other key parts of the automotive transmission system to ensure the performance and safety of the vehicle.
  • Electronic products: In the electronics industry, Zamak 2 is often used to manufacture electronic equipment housings, plugs and other components, to protect the internal circuit from the external environment.
  • Other industrial fields: In addition, the alloy is also used in the manufacture of door locks, handles, pull rings, zippers and other hardware accessories, as well as mechanical parts, tools, etc.

Performance feature:

  • This product meets the standards of China, the United States and the European Union;Comply with ROHS, EN71Part3, EN1811, CPSIA and other requirements;
  • Low remelting temperature, less slag content, and fine internal crystallization;
  • Good physical and mechanical properties, castability, dimensional stability and creep resistance.

Method of application

  • Bake and dry before use. Do not stir or dredge when feeding.The scum above the molten liquid is stirred calmly with a slag rake to collect it and remove it;
  • The nozzle material according to the ratio of 25%-30% input, no need to slag;
  • The best die casting temperature: 475℃-530℃, the best mold temperature: 210℃-230℃.The upper limit of die-casting temperature is recommended for thin-walled parts and complex parts, and the lower limit is recommended for thick-walled parts and simple parts.
  • The following phenomena may exist in the use process: there is a thin oil film on the surface of the alloy liquid, and there will be a small amount of black film, which is a normal phenomenon.

Packing storage

 This product is a block of silver-white metal, stacked neatly, 112 pieces per bundle , bundled with PET strap, and packaged with PVC bag.

After unpacking is not used up, it is best to re-seal, dust and reduce oxidation.

Store in ventilated, dry, non-corrosive substances place, pay attention to moisture.
